SMART ENERGY MANAGEMENT ENGINEERING

Projects & Testimonials

Project Name: The Ohio State University Energy Conservation Performance Contract

Scope of work: Implement an Energy Conservation Performance Contract at Scott Lab, Physics Research Building, Biomedical Research Tower, Recreation & Physical Activity Center and Vet Hospital.

Detailed information: Project was completed at $6,560,000 with annual guaranteed savings of over $1,000,000. Major energy conservation measures were,  Aircuity, Lighting Renovation, Water Conservation, Building Envelope and HVAC upgrades.

Oscar is highly effective project manager, detailed oriented, knowledgeable and efficient communicator. He was an integral part of a pilot performance contract at The Ohio State University. He worked closely with the contractor and sub-contractors to mitigate challenges and bring the project to a successful conclusion. I highly recommend Smart Energy Management Engineering for managing energy projects.

Aparna Dial, Director of Energy Services and Sustainability

Project Name: Westerville Community Center Variable Frequency Drive Design

Scope of work: Select total of 25 VFDs to be installed on pumps and AHUs to reduce energy consumption. The selected VFDs to be monitored by an existing Building Automation System.

Detailed information: Select VFDs, prepare a bid package, calculated an estimated energy savings and the associated payback ratio.

Project Name: Westerville Community Center Energy Audit

Scope of Work: Perform an ASHRAE Level 2 Energy Audit for 96,000 SF community center

Detailed information: Establish an energy baseline, analyze the utility bills, identify major Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) with the associated cost and savings, prioritize the ECMs to create a road map for future energy projects.

Project Name: Greater Dayton Transit Authority Building Envelope Survey and Energy Audit

Scope of work: Perform a) an energy audit and an envelope survey on three buildings b) an envelope survey on 17 more buildings.

Detailed information: Establish an energy baseline, analyze the utility bills, identify major Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) with the associated cost and savings, prioritize the ECMs to create a road map for future energy projects and survey envelopes.

"SEME was contracted to design and oversee a variable speed drive project at our 96,000 SF Westerville Community Center. Oscar Zanganeh handled all aspects of the project from conception to completion with a high level of satisfaction"

Philip Burkett, Facilities Maintenance Manager"

"SEME completed a highly detailed ASHRAE level 2 Energy Survey and Analysis. With this information we will be using it for a road map for all of all future energy project considerations and will incorporate many of his recommendations in the design of our expansion project.  Oscar is very knowledgeable, detailed oriented and competent engineer and would recommend his services"

Philip Burkett,  Facilities Maintenance Manager
